Rising 16 stories above the city with 263 rooms, our hotels have views stretching from Coronado to Point Loma to La Jolla, plus a rooftop bar and pool that will be one of downtown's hottest spots. Position Summary: At Tru & Home2 Suites by Hilton, you are Free to be You with Tru Spirit! Our Front Desk Team fosters a fresh and playful attitude that brings energy, a Tru spirit, and genuine warmth to every shift, creating a laid-back place where guests feel right at home. As a Guest Service Agent, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and keeping daily operations running smoothly at our brand-new hotel. You're the first face guests see when they arrive and the last one they remember when they leave. You look for ways to surprise and delight, whether that's a great local recommendation, a warm welcome back, or a small touch that makes someone's day. When something goes wrong, you don't pass it along. You find a solution and make it right. If you love people, stay calm under pressure, and want to be part of an opening team, we'd love to meet you!
What You Will Do:
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Check billing instructions and guest credit for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications with accuracy.
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, billing, and financial transactions
- Keep an organized Front Desk area and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked
- Perform other duties as assigned by hotel leadership.

- Proven experience in hotel front desk operations or hospitality management
- Strong leadership and team engagement skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and tact
- Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office Suite
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer work, phone operation, and handling documents
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone
- Occasional bending, reaching, and stooping
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20–25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, packages)
- Visual ability to read screens, reports, and guest information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
