Activities Director
Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital - Transitional Care Unit (TCU)
Westborough, MA 01581

Come join a team who recently received US News & World Report's excellence award for "BEST TRANSITIONAL CARE UNIT for 2025"

Part time, 28 hours, 8p-3:30p

Prerequisites:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; BS in recreational therapy or related field preferred.
At least 2 years experience working with the elderly.
At least 1 year experience in Elderly Recreation Program or successful completion of the Activities Director's Basic Course.
Able to read, write and speak English.

Primary Functions:

Plans, schedules and implements therapeutic recreation program of individual and group activities based on resident's needs, abilities and interests. Documents those needs in the resident's care plan.
Plans, schedules and implements room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms.
Maintains activity attendance, adequate supply of materials and observes infection control procedures related to the Activity Program.
Other duties as assigned as outlined in the job description.
