Job Description
Full-Time Case Manager Salary: $48,000-$52,000 DOE
Since 2016, Pawsperity has been helping uplift families from generational poverty through job training in the art of dog grooming. Pawsperity serves some of the community’s most vulnerable members, including individuals often coming from backgrounds of domestic violence, addiction, incarceration, and homelessness.
Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Senior Case Manager, the Case Manager will provide comprehensive support and advocacy for students/graduates, ensuring they have access to the resources and services necessary for academic success and personal development. This role involves working collaboratively with students/graduates, faculty, and community organizations to provide individualized support and facilitate access to services.

This role involves working collaboratively with students/graduates, faculty, and community organizations to provide individualized support and facilitate access to services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualized Support: Provide personalized support for students/graduates facing academic, emotional, or personal challenges.
- Resource Coordination: Connect students/graduates with on-campus and off-campus resources.
- Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student/graduate progress, adjusting support as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of students/graduates.
- Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for students/graduates, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and external agencies to create a supportive network for students/graduates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student/graduate interactions and progress, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
- Data entry/analysis: Collect and analyze data related to student/graduate outcomes and program effectiveness to inform improvements in services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, student support, or a related field, preferably in a post-secondary educational setting.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with diverse populations. Preference given for candidates having worked with those experiencing homelessness, justice involvement and/or underserved populations.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Knowledge of community resources and services available to students/graduates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with student development theories and practices.
- Proficiency in using case management software and data tracking systems.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
- Fast-paced environment with varying levels of student needs.
- Conduct urine analysis/drug testing.
