About This Position

We are seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) to join our clinical team. This role is essential in supporting the diagnosis and treatment planning for patients undergoing vascular evaluation. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving patient outcomes. This position requires travel to nursing homes within the designated boroughs. Candidate are required to have a vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Perform lower extremity arterial duplex and venous insufficiency studies
- Generate and upload detailed reports into our EMR system
- Collaborate with providers to communicate exam results and determine next steps
- Assist with patient intake and escorting patients to consult rooms
- Upload imaging studies to PACS
- Occasionally travel to nursing homes to perform scans for residents unable to visit the office
Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited 2-year allied health program and two years of post-graduate experience or graduate of an accredited vascular ultrasound program, with the equivalent vascular experience and active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- RVT Certification (Required) in NY State
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Vascular Technologist
- Proficiency in arterial duplex and venous insufficiency exams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- A vehicle is required for this position
- Must be willing to travel ( Road Warrior)
- High visibility within Nursing Homes
Must have solid knowledge base of anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and pathology and how it relates to non-invasive vascular testing. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of two years' experience post internship performing vascular ultrasounds however, new grads with strong skills will be considered. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
