The role:
Saltworks is seeking a Business Analyst to support the continued growth of the organization. As the company scales, this role helps ensure that processes, systems, and ways of working evolve in a structured and practical way to support day‑to‑day operations and long‑term objectives.
Working closely with teams across the business, the Business Analyst will help bridge gaps between business needs and system capabilities, improving how work is planned, tracked, and executed. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working across functions, understands how systems and processes connect, and can help turn evolving requirements into solutions that drive consistency, visibility, and effective execution.
This is an on-site role at our office in Richmond, BC, with limited opportunity for remote work. You must be located in or be willing to relocate to the Lower Mainland.
Key responsibilities:
- Work at the intersection of people, processes, and technology, balancing competing priorities while driving work that moves the business forward.
- Lead business analysis efforts by identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and manual workarounds, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Analyze data and workflows with a focus on optimization, simplification, and measurable improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and feedback, translating them into well-defined functional specifications.
- Identify and communicate priorities, risks, and resource needs to keep initiatives on track.
- Design, test, and implement solutions, primarily within our project management platform (Wrike), ensuring changes are ready before go‑live.
- Sustain and refine solutions after implementation through validation, user feedback, and lessons‑learned reviews.
- Create and maintain clear process documentation to enable training, continuity, and compliance.
You will be a great fit if you have:
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- A degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong experience translating complex business operations into structured, well-defined requirements.
- Solid experience with business process mapping and workflow documentation.
- Experience delivering and implementing solutions across systems and processes.
- The ability to think at a high level while remaining comfortable working through details.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- A practical, investigative approach to problem‑solving, with a bias toward action.
- A high level of organization and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Bonus: experience working with tools such as Wrike, ERP or PLM systems, scripting or data tools (SQL, Python, C#, VBA), and general comfort working with AI‑enabled tools.
