About This Position
Job Summary
This position provides technical application support for Epic applications, analyzing, evaluating, and troubleshooting. Provides analysis of multiple applications and/or highly complex applications. The analyst understands and translates the business functionality into the Epic systems configuration and workflow validations. Plans and prepares Cadence/Grand Central/Prelude/Referrals test scripts for application testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing.
Provides Cadence/Grand Central/Prelude application and technical support for the product line in addition to providing triage and troubleshooting to the product customers. Monitors the systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity and appropriately escalates issues/problems. Provides system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration as well as testing and training of the product. Provides standardization direction for the product aligning the application version and workflow with current standards.
Under limited supervision, gathers and analyzes user needs for developing and modifying clinical or business applications in the healthcare environment. Includes providing complex application support, writes documentation and specifications. Analyzes complex results, proposes solutions and/or recommendations in addition to building, configuring and/or modifying applications using existing application tools.
Responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of Epic System's Cadence/Grand Central/Prelude/Referrals software and serves as a liaison between end users and Epic implementation staff. Conducts regular day-to-day communication with Epic's installation team, reviews the software, analyzes business operations, and works with Epic vendor, project team(s), business representatives, subject matter experts, and end users to tailor the system to fit the organization's needs. The Analyst routinely performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues and is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that are used in conjunction with Epic applications, and designs, builds, tests, installs and maintains those solutions.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred
- Associate's degree from an accredited program
Experience:
- At least one of the following is Required:
- Two years or more of experience with Epic Analyst experience.

- Two years or more of experience regarding knowledge of clinical/operational experience
Certification/Licensure:
- Required:
- Epic Certification/Accreditation related to application
- Data Courier Certification
- Grand Central Analyst certification
- Certified proficient in Prelude/Cadence/Referrals
- Completion of up to 3 Epic Badges, such as Core Analyst, Patient estimates, decision tree, financial assistance. Specific badge approval subject to leader's approval for relevancy
- Preferred
- Certification in related clinical field
- Membership in a professional organization
