Why You Want to Work With Us

Marshall & Stevens is a 92-year-old independent, national valuation consulting firm known for our client focus and quality-driven culture. Our Litigation Valuation Group specializes in forensic accounting, economic damages analysis, and business valuation for legal disputes, including commercial litigation, matrimonial disputes, shareholder disputes, and bankruptcy cases. We provide expert financial analysis to attorneys, corporate clients, and the courts to assist in dispute resolution. If you have a strong financial background and an interest in applying valuation to complex legal matters, we’d love to hear from you.

What This Role Will Do

As a Senior Associate in Energy & Infrastructure Valuation, you will conduct financial and economic analyses for renewable and traditional energy assets, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure projects. This role requires a deep understanding of project finance, power markets, and capital-intensive assets. You will support clients in mergers & acquisitions, tax structuring, financial reporting, and investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct valuations of power generation facilities, renewable energy assets, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and cost-based valuation models.
  • Perform financial statement analysis, market research, and regulatory impact assessments.
  • Support clients in M&A transactions, investment strategy, and financing structures.
  • Research wholesale power markets, transmission constraints, and energy policy trends.
  • Prepare valuation reports for financial institutions, regulatory agencies, and investors.

What Makes You Successful in This Role

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering. A CFA, ASA, or CPA is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-6 years in energy valuation, project finance, infrastructure investment, or financial consulting.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, energy market research, and regulatory compliance.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of power purchase agreements (PPAs), project financing, and energy asset valuation.
  • Communication: Strong analytical and report-writing skills for investment committees and legal professionals.
  • Work Ethic: Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex financial models for large-scale assets.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Marshall & Stevens provides hands-on experience in litigation valuation, forensic accounting, and expert witness support. You will work on high-stakes financial disputes and gain exposure to legal proceedings, financial modeling, and valuation techniques that impact high-profile cases. If you are looking to apply finance in a legal setting, this is the perfect opportunity to develop a unique and in-demand skill set.
