This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Sales Manager - Data Centers based in the United States.
This remote leadership role is responsible for driving commercial growth across the rapidly expanding Data Center market. You will own strategic customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, and shape sales strategies across multiple states. The role focuses on sophisticated power and distribution solutions supporting critical data center infrastructure. You will work closely with regional leadership, customers, product teams, and other stakeholders to create tailored solutions and convert opportunities into measurable growth. Success requires strong commercial judgment, industry expertise, and the ability to influence senior decision-makers. This is an opportunity to play a significant role in expanding power infrastructure solutions within a high-growth, technology-driven market.
- Lead sales and account development activities for the Data Center segment, managing key customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities across multiple states.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies for power transmission products and services, including Power & Distribution Transformers, High Voltage Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, Instrument Transformers, Power Quality solutions, and Power Sensing devices.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer decision-makers, working with regional leadership and sales teams to strengthen account strategies and position solutions effectively.
- Identify, prospect, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities within strategic Data Center accounts, contributing to sustainable revenue and market growth.
- Develop written strategies for pursuing high-value opportunities and provide leadership throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to develop customized technical and commercial solutions that address customer challenges.
- Own accurate forecasting for orders, convertible orders, margins, and sales across assigned customers and accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and pricing dynamics, providing actionable feedback to product-line marketing and commercial leadership.
- Conduct periodic account reviews with management, communicating progress, opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college, or possess equivalent knowledge and professional experience.
- Bring at least 10 years of direct sales, channel sales, or strategic account leadership experience.
- Have at least 3 years of demonstrated successful sales experience within the Data Center industry, ideally involving electrical power equipment and infrastructure.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge or experience with Power & Distribution Transformers, High Voltage Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, Instrument Transformers, Power Quality equipment, or Power Sensing technologies.
- Bring a proven ability to develop and execute successful growth strategies, identify commercial opportunities, and translate market insights into sales results.
- Possess strong stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to work cooperatively with customers, regional leaders, technical teams, product organizations, and other cross-functional partners.
- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background is preferred, particularly for candidates working with complex power and electrical infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead programs and projects effectively.
- Have established project management skills and the ability to document, plan, market, and execute commercial programs.
- Be willing and able to travel up to 50% as required for customer engagement and business development activities.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment is subject to applicable pre-employment requirements, including a drug screen where applicable.
- Base salary range of $108,600–$181,000 USD per year, with a geographic salary differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% in certain locations.
- Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
