Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Parts Manager will supervise and direct all sales activity (front/back counter, outside), assist in inventory control and distribution of parts and accessories to customers while achieving company expectations for sales volume and profitability.

Management-related:
- Achieve budgeted goals for sales volume, gross margin, inventory turns and department profitability.
- Actively manage the counter staff to create sales opportunities.
- Mitigate all interdepartmental issues for the Colton location and assist the sister locations with additional stock needs.
- Utilize existing tools and work with the Warehouse Manager to maintain an appropriate and efficient part inventory in accordance with approved cost controls.
- Monitor and control slow and non-moving stock levels within company guidelines.
- Review part costs and control retail part pricing in accordance with Division Strategic Initiatives.
- Oversee the execution or perform part warranty and core management procedures.
- Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and other industry events.
- Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery, and supply of purchases
- Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Conform to all safety rules and use of appropriate safety equipment.
- All other duties assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises the Parts department in the Colton, CA location.
Work Environment:
This job operates generally in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration by being involved in Warehouse Operations.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Travel may be requested to visit customers or help other locations with Inventory Count.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (Please describe what is required for satisfactory job performance in each category.)
Education and Experience:
- 7+ years related experience in Retail Parts Management, preferably heavy truck chassis or School Bus
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience with proven results
