Now Hiring: PM Engineer
Location: Embassy Suites Denton Convention Center

Essential Responsibilities
  • Your day-to-day will keep the hotel in peak condition through a mix of routine care and rapid response:
    • Property Upkeep: Perform routine painting, staining, wallpaper repair, sheetrock patching, and carpet fixes to keep interiors and exteriors looking sharp.

    • Systems & Equipment: Tend to HVAC systems, boilers, and furnaces; replace AC filters; and program phone or climate controllers as needed.

    • Guest & Team Support: Respond promptly and professionally to guest service requests. Stay closely aligned and reachable for the Front Office and Chief Engineer.

    • Inspections & PM: Complete standard preventative maintenance logs, monitor utility meters daily, and keep the pool area clean, safe, and balanced.

    • Safety & Compliance: Maintain MSDS files, follow strict lockout/tag-out and safety procedures, and support hotel-wide initiatives like O’Reach, Green Team, and Safety committees.

Skills & General Requirements
  • A professional, diplomatic attitude with the ability to work well with diverse teams and guests.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related tools.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Education & Experience

    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience PLUS 3 years specialized in plumbing, electrical, or painting trades (or equivalent combined education/experience).

    • Certifications: Certificate from a vocational school with a completed apprenticeship in plumbing or electrical repair is required.

    • Bonus Points: HVAC training and certified pool/spa experience are highly preferred!

Physical & Environmental Demands
  • Heavy Work: Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. constantly.

  • Physical Agility: Comfortable climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and standing for long periods.

  • Visual Acuity: Strong close vision for detailed inspections and computer work, as well as the acuity needed to safely operate vehicles and heavy equipment.

  • Work Environment: Performs tasks both indoors and outdoors. Comfortable working around moving machinery, electrical currents, chemicals, high places, heat, and occasional confined spaces.

Hours
  • nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be available to respond to emergencies during off-hours.
