GP Strategies Government Solutions has an immediate need for an Aircraft Material Manager. This is a full-time, temporary position that will last from approximately mid July - end of October.
Job Summary:
Provide Material Management support by assisting with various Material Management duties including refreshing, preparing and stocking training materials for manufacturing training classes. Specific tasks will include refreshing training materials by removing sealant to practice panels, building and cutting materials to class specs, and staging/stocking materials for upcoming classes.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working in a complex and changing environment while being both self-sufficient and collaborative with team members.
• Possess strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Experience and ability to manage large volume of tasks and maintain high degree of accuracy, quality and timely completion. Ability to prioritize and manage disruptions.
• Experience using power tools, including but not limited to drills, saws, sanders, polishing tools, grinding tools, nail guns, and impact wrenches.
• Ability to lift 30lb. For items over 30lb or awkward size or shape, assistance will be provided.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including MS Word, MS Excel, and email.
• Good written and verbal communications that support positive and effective customer experience.
• Ability to complete respirator training and capable of wearing a respirator when handling chemicals.
• Experience using personal protective equipment (PPE) when using power tools or handling chemicals (gloves, face shield, hearing protection, etc.).
Skills and Experience:
• Experience with shop drawings, blueprints, and written shop instructions.
Other Position Info:
• Ability to work on site at Fort Worth, TX facility.
• Work week and status: Full-time/hourly – Schedule will be based on class demand and may flex with anticipated primary schedule being 40 hours M-TH 6:00am – 4:30pm working a 4x10 schedule with Fri/Sat/Sun off work.
• This is a temporary position through the end of October, at a minimum.

Assignment Location – Fort Worth, TX
- Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Fingering (typing), communicating, repetitive motions.
- Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
- Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
