Finishing Crew Member II

Wage: $19.50 then $20.00 at end of probationary period (.50 cent differential for night hours)

Steady days/nights - Day shift: 7am to 5pm - Night shift: 9pm to 7am

Tow motor and crane experience - Material handling / inventory

Machine Operator, Saw, or Inspection/QC experience a plus!

Must be able to read a tape measure

Prior steel mill or industrial furnace experience - fast paced environment

Duties

• Transports bars safely using overhead crane and mobile equipment, including tow motor and transfer car
• Steel Finishing Large Machine operation and use of some hand/measuring and pneumatic tools
• Maintains accurate records regarding material identification and properly record information in both manual and computer formats
• Visual or machine inspection and application of chemicals or cleaners to finished product

Tools/equipment used: including but not limited to, IR Thermometer, calipers, measuring stick, tape measure, hot chalk, paint markers, go/no-go tools, TC load material and tools, label printers, stacker crane, forklift, furnace controllers.

• Able to move from area to area if required when it gets busy.
• Able to be on your feet for up to 12 hours per day.
• Must be able to show up to work everyday ready to work and learn.

Schedule can include Holidays or Weekends

Education:

• High school Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Remote Crane: 1 year (Preferred)
• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: One location
