What You’ll Do

As an Infusion Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll report to the Director or Manager to provide professional nursing services in the area of assignment, assess the needs of patients and initiates, and implement and evaluate individualized plans of care. You will collaborate with other professional, clinical, and ancillary staff in providing compassionate and quality care to patients.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and support patient care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse using the nursing process and Relationship Based Care model.

  • Administer medications, monitor IV therapies and blood transfusions, and perform routine nursing treatments and procedures.

  • Monitor patient conditions, collect and document clinical data, and report changes to the healthcare team.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to provide safe, high-quality patient care.

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and health management strategies.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including assessments, treatments, medications, and patient responses.

  • Participate in bedside handoffs, interdisciplinary rounds, shift huddles, and other team communication activities.

  • Perform patient assessments, purposeful rounding, vital sign monitoring, phlebotomy, and other assigned nursing interventions.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality guidelines.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives, professional development activities, and department goals to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.

What You Bring

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll bring a high level of knowledge and competency in performing nursing care procedures, assessments, treatment, and techniques and your advanced analytical skills are necessary to solve complex problems and make decisions related to patient care. You demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians, and others. You demonstrate the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner. You have an understanding of the need to be responsive and reasonably adaptable for scheduling purposes, when necessary, due to extenuating circumstances in support of co-workers and department functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program and LPN license in the state of Indiana

  • Minimum 1-2 years nursing experience preferred
