You will also help strengthen automated testing, CI/CD practices, system reliability, and compliance within a federal technology environment.
This is an impactful opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex integration challenges without taking on formal people-management responsibilities.

Accountabilities

  • Design and maintain SQL Server data structures and backend components that support CRM functionality and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technical needs, communicate delivery progress, and ensure solutions align with program objectives.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and promote secure coding, automated validation, and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Partner with QA engineers to expand automated testing coverage and improve the quality and reliability of CRM integrations.

  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Make sound architectural and technical decisions that balance scalability, maintainability, performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor Microsoft Dynamics 365 release cycles and apply relevant Wave updates to maintain system performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate across engineering and product teams to establish technical direction and ensure successful delivery of new features and enhancements.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with substantial full-stack development experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and C#/.NET development, including customizations, plugins, workflows, and configurations.
  • Strong experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and connecting enterprise applications and services.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server and backend data management.
  • Experience with ReactJS and TypeScript for frontend development and system integration.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud environments and cloud-based application hosting and deployment.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and applying DevSecOps practices, including GitHub Actions, secure code scanning, and containerization.
  • Strong understanding of software security, compliance, reliability, and secure development practices in regulated or government environments.
  • Experience collaborating with QA teams on automated testing and quality assurance for integrated applications.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience delivering software through iterative development cycles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and architectural decision-making skills.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and influence engineering direction without direct people-management responsibilities.
  • Direct experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs projects or other federal IT programs is highly desirable.
  • Public Trust clearance or higher, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required background investigation, is required.
Benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions, including dollar-for-dollar matching up to 3% and additional matching for the 4th and 5th percent, with immediate entry and vesting.
  • 20 days of paid time off accumulated annually.
