The GTM Compensation and Insights Manager will own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of compensation programs supporting go-to-market teams. This role combines compensation operations, analytics, policy development, and cross-functional partnership to ensure incentive programs are effective, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Own the end-to-end monthly commission process, including payout calculations, adjustments, exception handling, and timely resolution of compensation-related questions.
- Prepare compensation reporting and review materials for sales and finance leadership, highlighting performance trends and key insights.
- Design, manage, and optimize incentive programs, including SPIFs across multiple go-to-market functions and business segments.
- Define payout structures, commission mechanics, rates, and adjustments while ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Develop and administer compensation plans for sales representatives, business development teams, managers, and sales engineers.
- Manage compensation changes related to promotions, role transitions, new hires, and mid-year adjustments.
- Create and maintain compensation policies, governance processes, and documentation to support transparency and consistency.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage compensation technology solutions, including vendor coordination and project execution.
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends, attainment patterns, outliers, and potential risks.
- Partner with analytics teams to maintain data accuracy across compensation systems and reporting tools.
- Translate complex compensation questions into clear recommendations and decisions for stakeholders.
- Continuously improve compensation processes, tools, and operational workflows to support business growth.
The ideal candidate is a compensation operations professional with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience managing complex incentive programs in fast-growing environments. You should be comfortable owning recurring processes, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and using data to drive decisions.
- 5–7 years of experience in sales compensation, commissions, compensation operations, or related fields.
- Experience supporting B2B SaaS organizations, preferably within a consumption-based or recurring revenue business model.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end commission processes and incentive program administration.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
- Experience with SQL, business intelligence tools, or analytics platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with commission management platforms such as CaptivateIQ, Xactly, or similar tools.
- Experience working with Salesforce and sales operations systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience creating policies, documentation, and leadership reports.
- Ability to interpret ambiguous compensation scenarios and develop clear, defensible solutions.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage deadline-driven processes with accuracy.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across sales, finance, analytics, and leadership teams.
- Competitive compensation range of $176,000 - $220,000 USD.
