Job Description

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking a Multi-Modality Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. About This Role

As a Multi-Modality Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple imaging modalities while providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This role offers staffing flexibility across imaging services and requires competency in multiple modalities to meet patient needs and support departmental operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and established standards of practice.
  • Demonstrate competency across multiple imaging modalities, including General Radiography, CT, and an additional modality such as Mammography, DEXA, MRI, or other imaging services.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by explaining procedures, verifying patient information, maintaining privacy, and responding appropriately to patient needs and changing conditions.
  • Utilize imaging equipment, PACS, and electronic medical record systems while maintaining accurate documentation and participating in quality improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional care delivery.
  • Follow radiation safety principles, infection prevention practices, and regulatory standards while supporting departmental operations and staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program required; Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • One to two years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist preferred.
  • ARRT (R) (CT) certifications required.
  • Vermont state licensure required.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • IV certification required.
  • Ability to perform and maintain credentials in at least one additional Diagnostic Imaging modality, such as Mammography, MRI, or DEXA.
