Job Description
Proformance Builder Solutions is a leading B2B construction services provider, specializing in roofing, siding, and house wrap for new residential construction. Founded in 2016, we have completed over 15,000 roofing installations each year and have recently expanded our service offerings to meet the growing demands of residential builders across the state.
Position Summary: The Multi-Family Superintendent is the on-site leader responsible for the full lifecycle of assigned multi-family roofing and siding projects, from mobilization through final completion and closeout. This role owns day-to-day field execution: coordinating labor and subcontractor crews, managing material flow and logistics, driving the schedule, and enforcing safety and quality standards on site.
When not actively assigned to a multi-family project, the Multi-Family Superintendent transitions into the Senior Area Manager (Sr. AM) role for the branch, serving as an internal auditor, safety leader, trainer, and operational support partner to the Operations Manager across single-family communities. This dual-role structure keeps an experienced field leader fully utilized year-round, strengthens branch-wide operational standards between multi-family assignments, and builds a deep bench of leadership capability across both multi-family and single-family product types.
This position requires travel as necessary based on assigned project locations, and may require extended or out-of-market stays for the duration of a multi-family project.
Salary Range: $100-125K
Key Responsibilities:
1. Multi-Family Project Ownership (Primary Assignment)When assigned to a multi-family project, the Superintendent owns the job from start to finish, including:
• Serve as the single point of on-site accountability for the project from mobilization through closeout.
• Maintain a consistent, full-time on-site presence throughout the duration of the assigned project.
• Coordinate and direct all labor and subcontractor crews assigned to the job, including sequencing of trades across buildings and phases.
• Coordinate material deliveries, staging, and inventory with Purchasing/Supply Chain to prevent schedule delays or shortages.
• Build, maintain, and actively manage the project schedule; proactively identify and resolve slippage before it impacts completion dates.
• Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor progress, workmanship, and adherence to plans, specifications, and company SOPs.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the builder/general contractor, addressing concerns in real time.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, and manage safety compliance for all crews on site.
• Own quality control from rough-in through final inspection, including punch list management and warranty-readiness.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation: production logs, photos, safety records, and schedule updates.
• Escalate scope, cost, or schedule risks to the Director of Construction/OM with clear recommendations.
2. Labor & Subcontractor Coordination
• Recruit, schedule, and manage subcontractor crews to meet project manpower needs across all phases.
• Verify subcontractor crews are properly staffed, equipped, and briefed before starting work each day.
• Hold crews accountable to production rates, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Resolve crew-level conflicts and performance issues on site before they escalate.
3. Materials & Logistics Coordination• Coordinate material takeoffs, ordering, and delivery schedules with Estimating and Purchasing.
• Manage on-site material staging, storage, and waste control across multiple buildings.
• Track material usage against takeoffs and flag discrepancies early.
4. Schedule Management• Build and maintain the master project schedule and communicate it clearly to all crews and stakeholders.
• Coordinate sequencing with other trades on site to avoid conflicts and delays.
• Report schedule status, risks, and recovery plans to the OM/Director of Construction on a regular cadence.
5. Safety & Quality Control• Serve as the on-site safety authority for the duration of the assigned project.
• Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks; enforce OSHA standards and company safety SOPs.
• Perform quality control inspections at each phase of construction and manage corrective action.
• Ensure documentation, inspections, and builder sign-offs are completed accurately and on time.
6. Senior Area Manager Duties (When Not Assigned to a Multi-Family Project)Role Transition

• Provide clear, documented feedback to the OM following audits.
• Identify trends, recurring deficiencies, and high/low-performing teams.
• Support the OM in creating measurable action items for Area Managers within 1:1 performance reviews.
• Track repeat issues to distinguish coaching needs from performance concerns, maintaining neutrality and consistency.
Safety Leadership & Escalation Management:
• Serve as the branch safety subject matter expert, aligned with the Safety Program Coordinator.
• Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and hands-on safety training for subcontractors, Area Managers, and field technicians.
• Manage and document safety escalations in coordination with the OM and local Area Manager.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety SOPs are upheld consistently across all projects and team members.
