Job Description:   

The People & Culture Coordinator (P&C Coordinator) position is an administrative confidential position that reports to the People & Culture Manager of Ride Connection. The P&C Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the agency’s recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and benefits. Working in collaboration with other team members, the P&C Coordinator assists in ensuring that all People & Culture activities contribute to the satisfaction and performance excellence of employees and managers. The P&C Coordinator must exercise discretion in protecting and releasing information. They must work independently and manage multiple projects assigned by the People & Culture Manager.

How You’ll Make a Difference - (Essential functions):

Productivity & Process Optimization 

  • Assist in all aspects of the agency’s personnel management, including but not limited to recruitment, conducting new employee orientations, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with management of benefit packages.

HR Strategy, Guidance & Employee Support

  • Collaborate with the P&C Manager and P&C Generalist with guidance to develop and implement strategic P&C initiatives that support organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assist in providing guidance and support to program supervisors and managers.
  • Provide a welcoming and confidential environment for personnel to discuss ideas, questions, or concerns.

HR Operations, Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Assist with ensuring P&C operating procedures are created, maintained, and followed.
  • Assist in administering the agency’s drug and alcohol policies and programs.
  • Adhere to current Ride Connection Personnel Policies.

Training, DEIA & Organizational Development

  • Assist with conducting P&C needs assessments and provide departmental training as needed or requested.
  • Consistently uphold organizational initiatives around DEIA and demonstrate these practices in daily work.
  • Participate in required training programs.

Research, Reporting & Data Coordination

  • Participate in conducting research on assigned projects, analyze data, and provide informational reports for management decision-making.
  • Collect data and issue reports according to prescribed timelines.

Collaboration, Meetings & Other Duties

  • Attend agency staff meetings, management meetings, and board or committee meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with Ride Connection staff and partners to ensure strategies address the needs and goals of individual programs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

What You Bring - (Competencies):  

Required 

  • AA degree in a related field or a high school equivalent and a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in an office environment or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management, documentation, and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to pass a 10 year National Criminal Record Check which includes fingerprint identification.
  • Ability to pass a DMV check that meets or exceeds Ride Connection’s driving standards.
  • Must have own personal vehicle and be willing to use personal vehicle for employment purposes. Must maintain proof of auto insurance and comply with State regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and mathematics.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects within specific timelines.
  • Good interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of report presentation.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality rules.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, courtesy and tact in public contact and in handling problems.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.

  • Extensive visual/hearing involvement 
  • Extensive telephone verbal communication 
  • Occasional lifting of items from below the knees or above the shoulders 
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, occasionally 
  • Occasional crouching and kneeling 
  • Moderate work on the computer 
  • Ability to travel between multiple work sites as needed
