As a Billing Analyst, you will ensure that billing processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with customer agreements and internal policies. You will support revenue operations, financial controls, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain reliable billing and reporting workflows.
- Manage customer billing processes, ensuring invoices are generated accurately according to contract terms, billing schedules, and company procedures.
- Review customer contracts and sales orders to validate billing requirements, rates, documentation, and revenue recognition alignment.
- Create and maintain customer orders within financial systems, verifying data accuracy and following up on missing information.
- Prepare and issue monthly customer invoices while ensuring proper supporting documentation is available.
- Process new orders, service changes, removals, and other billing-related requests.
- Analyze billing discrepancies and investigate issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and process credit memorandums, including documentation and approval workflows.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, collections, legal, project management, and finance teams to resolve billing and payment-related questions.
- Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, billing packages, accounts receivable analysis, and revenue reporting.
- Monitor unbilled revenue analysis and ensure revenue is recorded in the appropriate accounting period.
- Apply relevant tax parameters according to finance and tax guidelines.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and provide operational support when needed.
The ideal candidate is a finance professional with experience in billing operations, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent attention to detail. You should be comfortable managing high-volume financial processes, communicating with different stakeholders, and working in a fast-paced international environment.
- 4+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, finance operations, or a similar role.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish, including reading, writing, and business communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large volumes of data.
- Experience reviewing contracts, invoices, and financial documentation.
- Strong reconciliation skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external customers.
- A degree or technical education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an advantage.
