VP, TPA Markets

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP, TPA Markets based in United States.

The VP, TPA Markets will lead strategic growth initiatives by expanding partnerships with third-party administrators and driving revenue opportunities within the healthcare market.
This executive-level role focuses on building trusted relationships with industry leaders and positioning innovative healthcare solutions that create measurable value.
You will own territory strategy, manage complex sales cycles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate market expansion.
The role requires a strong understanding of self-funded healthcare, employer benefits, and the operational challenges faced by TPAs.
As a key member of the commercial organization, you will influence business growth while helping organizations improve healthcare outcomes, efficiency, and transparency.
This is a fully remote opportunity offering autonomy, visibility, and the ability to make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

Accountabilities:

The VP, TPA Markets will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies across the TPA ecosystem, creating strategic partnerships, and delivering revenue objectives. This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong executive presence, and the ability to translate complex healthcare challenges into impactful business solutions.

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on expanding market presence and generating new business opportunities with third-party administrators.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive leaders and key decision-makers at regional and national TPAs.
  • Manage the complete enterprise sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships while developing new relationships within the self-funded healthcare market.
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition, competitive advantages, and business impact of healthcare solutions to prospective partners.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, association events, and networking opportunities to strengthen market visibility.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Client Success, Operations, and executive teams to support successful partner engagement and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, forecasts, and reporting while sharing market insights and performance updates.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and emerging opportunities within the TPA marketplace.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive enterprise sales experience within healthcare, employer benefits, or related industries, with a proven ability to develop strategic relationships and deliver consistent revenue growth. You should be a self-directed, results-oriented leader who can manage complex sales environments and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience within healthcare, employer benefits, or closely related solutions.
  • Demonstrated success selling into third-party administrators, self-funded employer markets, or organizations supporting healthcare benefits.
  • Strong understanding of TPA operations, self-funded health plans, and the challenges organizations face in managing healthcare costs and outcomes.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets through consultative, relationship-driven sales processes.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a territory, prioritize opportunities, and drive measurable business results.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings, industry events, and partnership development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with a reliable workspace, secure technology setup, and adherence to security protocols.
