The National Account Executive, Employee Benefits will be responsible for managing complex client relationships, developing strategic solutions, and ensuring strong retention and growth across assigned accounts.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies aligned with business objectives, profitability goals, retention targets, and client needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national account clients, brokers, and market partners by providing proactive guidance and consultative support.
- Create and deliver marketing, communication, and enrollment strategies that align client objectives with available solutions and best practices.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, renewal discussions, and finalist presentations with clear, strategic, and compelling messaging.
- Analyze claims trends, client data, and market insights to identify opportunities, address challenges, and recommend effective solutions.
- Partner with operational leaders and internal teams to resolve issues, improve service delivery, and develop best practices.
- Support the evolution of account service models and value propositions through collaboration and strategic recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, increased participation, and enhanced client engagement through thoughtful discovery and relationship management.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, technology platforms, and market developments to strengthen business strategies.
- Provide mentorship and support to colleagues while contributing to broader organizational initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced employee benefits professional with strong client management capabilities, strategic thinking skills, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing national employee benefits accounts or similar complex client relationships.
- Strong consultative approach with the ability to develop and execute strategic account plans that support growth and retention.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills with confidence engaging diverse audiences.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze information, solve problems, and translate insights into actionable solutions.
- Experience navigating fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities and competing objectives.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the financial services or employee benefits industry.
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented approach with strong ownership and initiative.
- Ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently and driving outcomes.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively as required.
- Competitive annual base salary range of $121,930–$152,410 USD, with additional incentive opportunities based on role and performance.
