Description:

KCG Engineering Group Inc (KCG) is a government contracting firm specializing in program support across multiple support areas for both military and civilian agencies. KCG is seeking a Safety and Airborne Representative to lead the Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) program for the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) while providing critical oversight for the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) Airborne Program. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities

Related activities to include, but not limited to:

  • Safety Leadership: Serve as the principal SOH advisor, managing the Unit Safety Officer (USO) program, Hearing/Respiratory Protection programs, and auditing contractor.
  • Risk & Mishap Management: Execute the 5-step DoD Risk Management process and lead official mishap investigations and reporting.
  • Airborne Oversight: Advise leadership on joint airborne operations, ensure compliance with joint doctrine, and manage malfunction/incident reporting in strict accordance with AR 59-4.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Active Secret security clearance.
  • Airborne Experience: 10+ years in military airborne operations (including joint personnel and heavy equipment drops).
  • Jumpmaster: Graduate of the U.S. Army Jumpmaster Course.
  • Safety Experience: 5+ years managing a comprehensive military/DoD safety program.
  • Safety Training: Graduate of a service-specific safety officer course (e.g., Army USOC, USMC GSM, NAVOSH, or AF Risk Mgmt & SST).
  • Joint Experience: Prior experience serving in a joint or multinational headquarters.
  • Doctrinal Knowledge: Verifiable expertise in DoD safety regulations, joint airborne doctrine (JP 3-18, JP 3-16, FM 3-99, ATP 4-48, DAFMAN 13-217, AFDP 3-36), and AR 59-4 malfunction reporting procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
