The Director of Operations, Maternal Health Access Services (MHAS), will lead the operational performance of maternal health access programs across assigned hospital and clinic partnerships. This senior role combines healthcare operations, client relationship management, financial oversight, and strategic program improvement. You will work closely with clinical and operational leaders to align partner objectives with service delivery and patient-centered outcomes. The position offers significant exposure to hospital executives, clinic leaders, physicians, and cross-functional teams. Success will depend on building trusted partnerships while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, access, and program performance. The role is remote but requires moderate to extensive travel to assigned hospitals and clinics. - Lead operational performance across assigned maternal health access programs, monitoring results and driving continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with hospital and clinic partners through regular business reviews, onsite visits, and performance discussions.
- Support the successful onboarding and implementation of new programs, ensuring alignment between partner objectives, services, and expected performance outcomes.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for senior hospital executives and clinic leadership, including CEO, CNO, CFO, COO, and CMO stakeholders.
- Support contract renewal negotiations, new business opportunities, proposals, financial proformas, and program changes.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, strengthen partnerships, and expand patient access.
- Address operational issues, billing and invoice inquiries, partnership concerns, and other client needs in a timely and solutions-oriented manner.
- Engage with community physicians and participate in outreach, marketing activities, community events, and initiatives that strengthen local relationships.
- Collaborate with Recruiting, Credentialing, Scheduling, HR, Marketing, Business Development, and clinical leadership to ensure coordinated program delivery.
- Participate in special projects and internal committees while contributing to broader operational and strategic priorities.
- 3–5 years of direct, hands-on experience in healthcare practice management or administration, preferably with operational leadership experience in women's health and outpatient settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field required; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with both hospital and clinic workflows and a strong understanding of healthcare operations.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and collaborating effectively with C-suite executives and senior clinical or administrative leaders.
- Experience managing OB/GYN practices, including perinatology or gynecologic oncology, is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in HCA, outpatient healthcare environments, or OB/GYN practice groups is highly valuable.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational and financial information, identify opportunities, and translate insights into practical improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain effective in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of medical terminology and applicable healthcare operational regulations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel moderately to extensively, including regular visits to assigned hospitals and clinics.
- Ability to sit for extended periods as required by the role.
- Base salary of $135,000–$145,000 annually, plus eligibility for incentive plans.
- Fully remote position with travel to assigned hospital and clinic locations.
