Job Description

Position: District Manager

Location: Silver Spring, MD
Employment Type: Full-Time

EPIC Health is expanding to Maryland! We are preparing to launch our operations in the Silver Spring area, with an anticipated start date for this position in November/December 2026. We are beginning the recruitment process now to identify a leader who can help establish our Maryland operations and grow with the organization as our presence in the state expands.

Please note: Based on your skillset, you might be considered for other roles within EPIC Health.

Ready to Help Build Something New?

At EPIC Health, we’re not just changing healthcare—we’re transforming it for the frail, the vulnerable, and the communities that need us most. As a District Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping establish and grow EPIC’s presence in Maryland.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity. As we establish our initial Maryland operations, the District Manager will function closely in a Practice Manager capacity, overseeing day-to-day practice operations, supporting staff, coordinating workflows, and helping build the foundation for a successful market launch. As EPIC grows throughout Maryland, the role will expand into broader district-level leadership, overseeing multiple locations, teams, and service lines.

If you’re an outside-the-box thinker who thrives on innovation, embraces challenges, and is excited by the opportunity to help build and grow a healthcare operation, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As our next District Manager, you’ll initially serve as a hands-on operational leader for our Maryland market, helping establish and optimize the local practice while preparing for future growth across the state.

Practice & Operational Leadership

  • Initially function in a Practice Manager capacity, overseeing day-to-day operations of the Silver Spring practice.
  • Ensure the practice operates efficiently, including staffing, workflows, patient experience, scheduling, and operational processes.
  • Develop and implement processes that support efficient, high-quality patient care.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve performance and patient satisfaction.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental communication to ensure seamless care delivery and exceptional service throughout the patient journey.
  • Help establish operational standards and best practices that can be scaled as EPIC expands throughout Maryland.
  • As the Maryland market grows, transition into broader district-level oversight of multiple locations and teams.

Leadership and Coaching

  • Mentor, train, and develop high-performing staff across various service lines.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth through coaching and team-building.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of employees as the Maryland team grows.
  • Build strong relationships with providers, clinical teams, and operational staff.
  • Advocate for patients by creating a culture of empathy and active listening.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee and continuously improve processes for Chronic Care Management, Value-Based Care, Remote Patient Monitoring, Pharmacy, Integrated Care, and Specialty Services.
  • Monitor practice performance and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure teams follow established operational and clinical workflows.
  • Support the implementation of new programs, services, and initiatives as EPIC expands in Maryland.

Strategic and Financial Oversight

  • Help establish and maintain operational and financial goals for the Maryland market.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to keep teams aligned with EPIC’s mission and goals.
  • Lead projects and initiatives designed to improve operational performance and support market growth.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for expansion and continuous improvement.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Foster a patient-first mindset by ensuring prompt, respectful, and effective issue resolution.
  • Promote a positive patient experience across all aspects of the practice.
  • Address operational or service concerns and work collaboratively toward solutions.

All Hands On Deck

  • Be ready to jump in wherever needed, particularly during the initial Maryland launch phase.
  • Support day-to-day operations and work alongside staff to ensure the practice is successful.
  • Take ownership of challenges and help build solutions in a growing, evolving environment.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a leader who is comfortable being both strategic and hands-on—someone who can manage the details of a practice today while helping build the infrastructure for a growing district tomorrow.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 5 years in a healthcare leadership, practice management, clinic management, or healthcare operations role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Practice Management Experience: Experience overseeing day-to-day healthcare practice or clinic operations is strongly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR), Microsoft Office Suite, and other operational tools.

Skills and Competencies

  • Hands-On Leadership: Comfortable working directly with staff and managing day-to-day operational needs.
  • Innovative Mindset: You’re not afraid to try new things and pivot when opportunities for improvement arise.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy building processes in growing organizations.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Results-Oriented: Proven ability to set goals, hold teams accountable, and drive measurable results.
  • Growth Mindset: Excited by the opportunity to help establish a new market and grow into broader leadership responsibilities.

Why EPIC Health?

When you join EPIC, you’re not just signing up for a job—you’re stepping into a mission-driven organization where your leadership makes a real difference.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Bi-weekly pay that reflects your expertise.
  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for career advancement and increased leadership responsibility as EPIC expands.
  • Health, Vision, Dental, Disability & Life Insurance: We’ve got you covered in more ways than one.

  • 401(k) Plan: Invest in your future with our retirement savings program.
  • Recognition Programs: Celebrate your successes and contributions as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
