Position Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s financial operations, and reporting. This includes financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, banking relationships, M&A activities, and compliance. The CFO will report directly to the CEO.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent)

  • Demonstrated experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strongly preferred

  • Experience with 401(k) fiduciary responsibilities (trustee, compliance filings/transactions and third-party relations)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and support strategic decision-making.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Additional Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Lead the planning and structuring of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration strategy

  • Oversee financial reporting and management of company-sponsored health insurance programs

  • Administer and manage the company’s 401(k) plan, including trustee duties, compliance filings, transactional oversight, and third-party vendor coordination

  • Develop and execute corporate tax planning and management strategies

  • Manage debt instruments and banking relationships; oversee corporate credit card usage and consolidated financial reporting

  • Analyze and evaluate overall company financial performance to support strategic decision-making

  • Coordinate and lead the annual corporate budgeting process

  • Oversee financial compliance and reporting for state-funded grants

  • Lead tax planning and management
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of company tax returns

  • Maximize utilization of R&D and state tax credits
