RN GI at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton Pierremont GI lab is seeking a registered nurse to join our team at our 18-bay endoscopy unit. The Rn will be caring for inpatients and outpatients undergoing endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat health issues. Their duties include preparing patients for procedures, assisting the team performing the test, and delivering patient care during recovery. Skills that are preferred are strong communication skills to use when interacting with multiple healthcare professionals and patients, observational skills to closely monitor patients, interpersonal skills to put patients at ease, multi-tasking skills to quickly shift focus from one task to another and being a dedicated team member. An active Louisiana nursing license is required, and critical care/ED/procedural care experience is preferred. The shift will be Monday through Friday 6:30am-3:00pm with afterhours call required. A 12-week preceptorship will be provided to adequately prepare the nurse for this specialized position.
