Automotive Technician at Crowley Car Company – El Cajon, California

Lexus El Cajon is in search of a dedicated Automotive Technician with a passion for automobiles, superb attention to detail and following safety protocol, performing excellent vehicle repair work, and ensuring customer satisfaction to contribute to the success of the team, the dealership and the brand.

Our Technicians perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Salary: $33.80 per hour + Flag Rate . Flag Rate is determined by your experience. Annual compensation ranges from $80,000 to $140,000.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Perform work on repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean while being repaired.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair quality.
• Documents work performed on repair order.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Uses all hazardous chemicals in accordance to product labels and Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Adheres to all safety rules, policies, and procedures, and immediately reports any accidents, hazards or equipment defects to management.
• Performs all duties in a professional, legal and ethical manner.
• Work & communicate well with the team and successfully communicate with customers on repairs or future needs

What are the requirements for this job?

• Must have Driver's License
• Automotive Industry Background
• Must possess thorough knowledge of all facets of automotive maintenance and repair.
• Must be able to use manual and power hand tools and other machinery safely.
• Ability to communicate well with coworkers and customers.
• Must be able to understand oral and written directions and instructions in English.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
• CDK Experience preferred
• Must be able to safely operate a vehicle lift.
• Must be able to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmission.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) required training certification.
