Experienced Auto Service Advisor at Kunes Country Automotive Management Inc – Quincy, Illinois

Position Summary

Kunes Auto Group is hiring an Experienced Automotive Service Advisor to support our Hyundai service operation in Quincy, IL. This role is ideal for a proven advisor who understands how to balance customer experience, service sales, and operational efficiency.

You will be the primary point of contact between customers and technicians—writing accurate repair orders, recommending maintenance based on OEM guidelines, and driving customer satisfaction and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and professionally assess vehicle concerns
• Write clear, accurate repair orders with labor and parts estimates
• Recommend maintenance and repairs based on OEM standards and vehicle history
• Communicate inspection findings and secure approval for additional work
• Provide timely updates on repair status, costs, and completion timelines
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure quality repairs and on-time delivery
• Maintain CSI standards and proactively resolve customer concerns
• Schedule service appointments efficiently
• Follow quality control processes to minimize errors and rework
• Promote preventative maintenance and dealership services

Required Qualifications

• Previous dealership Service Advisor experience (required)
• Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
• Working knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance process
• Comfortable using dealership DMS / service scheduling software
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume service department
