Business Management & Recruiting Intern, Part-Time or Full-Time in Kansas City Area, Missouri at Budget Car Rental

Budget Car & Truck Rental is seeking a Business Management & Recruiting Intern at our Kansas City Airport location. This internship is designed for someone interested in developing a career in business management, leadership, recruiting, and operations.

The intern will gain hands-on experience managing day-to-day business activities while taking an active role in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and developing employees. This is an opportunity to build management experience and prepare for a future front-line leadership role.

Recruiting & Hiring

• Assist with recruiting and sourcing candidates for open positions.
• Review applications and resumes and help identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct and participate in candidate interviews.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and new employee orientation.
• Help maintain staffing levels and recruiting activity for the airport operation.
• Build relationships with potential candidates and local recruiting sources.

Business Management & Operations

• Learn and assist with the daily management of the Kansas City Airport rental operation.
• Support customer service and rental counter operations.
• Assist with monitoring vehicle availability, inventory, and operational needs.
• Help ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing needs.
• Help identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Work with management and employees to maintain an efficient, professional operation.

Leadership & Employee Development

• Work alongside management to develop leadership and supervisory skills.
• Assist with training and team development.
• Help promote a positive, productive team environment.
• Learn how management decisions affect customer service, employees, sales, and overall business performance.
• Take on increasing responsibility as knowledge and leadership skills develop.

• Interest in pursuing a career in business management, leadership, recruiting, or operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable working with people.
• Ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
• Weekday and weekend availability required.
• Must be able to work at the Kansas City Airport.
• Must be able to successfully complete applicable background and employment screening requirements.

Must be working towards a bachelor's or associates degree
