MCB is seeking a The Loan Servicing (Note Department) Specialist who is responsible for providing operational and administrative support for the Bank’s consumer, commercial, and real estate loan portfolios. This position performs a variety of loan servicing functions, including processing loan payments and advances on lines of credit, boarding loans to the Bank’s core processing system, preparing loan documentation, and maintaining loan collateral and documentation files. The Specialist is responsible for monitoring insurance requirements, managing daily and monthly reports, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan records.
In addition, this role supports the Bank’s commitment to exceptional customer service by maintaining positive customer relationships, responding to servicing inquiries, and referring customers to appropriate Bank personnel for additional products and services. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational skills, regulatory awareness, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Requirements:Performs a variety of loan servicing and administrative functions supporting the Bank’s consumer, commercial, and real estate loan portfolios. Responsibilities include processing loan payments, advances, transfers, and payoffs; maintaining loan records, collateral files, insurance documentation, and customer statements; monitoring insurance coverage and following up on expired or canceled policies; preparing and distributing loan-related reports, notices, and correspondence; and providing operational support to loan officers and other Bank personnel. The position responds to customer and internal inquiries, assists with loan documentation, maintains archived loan files, processes callback entries, and supports collection efforts on delinquent accounts. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, proficiency with banking systems and office technology, and a commitment to compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and service standards.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of small business or commercial loan administration experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience; detail oriented; possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan origination system
- Knowledge of Navigator
- LaserPro familiarity a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
This is an in-office position.
7+ years of experience with increasing responsibility working for a regulatory agency examining banks, in a bank within the audit, compliance or legal departments, as a management consultant in the field of banking compliance or other equivalent non-banking position providing advice and/or guidance on banking regulations. Experience at commercial banking institution highly preferred
