Pharmacy Technician in Bolivar, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join our staff in the Hospital Pharmacy Department — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status: PRN
• Work Shift: 10-hour shifts with flexibility to cover weekends as needed
• Hours: Up to 32 hours every 2 weeks: 7am-5:30pm, 9:30am-8pm

What Your Day Looks Like: The Hospital Pharmacy compounds and dispenses medications by means of standard physical and chemical procedures to fill medication orders and prescription requests issued by physicians and other qualified prescribers.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be:

• Assisting the Pharmacist in a variety of pharmacy-related duties utilizing appropriate equipment, supplies, and procedures
• Assisting the Pharmacist with communication to patients and providers
• Preparing and labeling medications for dispensing
• Assuring adequate supplies of medications are available
• Delivering meds to patients, nursing units, and LTC facilities

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience: Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Skills: Customer service, computer proficiency, and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information relating to the needs of individual patients
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Missouri upon hire
• Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
