Sentry Force Security is seeking a professional and experienced Armed Security Guard Captain to oversee daily security operations, coordinate staffing, and provide leadership to Security Officers and Supervisors. The Captain will play a key role in ensuring adequate coverage, maintaining training standards, and supporting supervisors in the field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly schedules for Security Officers and Supervisors.
- Coordinate staffing to ensure all assigned posts have appropriate coverage.
- Monitor attendance, call-outs, late arrivals, and staffing shortages.
- Coordinate and conduct training for Security Officers and Supervisors.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new security personnel.
- Ensure officers maintain required licenses, certifications, and training.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to officers and supervisors.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with post orders and company policies.
- Work with Supervisors to address performance, attendance, and operational concerns.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and staffing issues as needed.
- Review daily activity reports, incident reports, and other operational documentation.
- Maintain communication with Account Managers, Operations Management, and field personnel.
- Assist with recruiting and staffing needs when vacancies or increased coverage requirements arise.
- Help develop contingency staffing plans for call-outs, vacations, and other absences.
- Ensure security personnel maintain professional appearance, conduct, and customer service standards.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer registration.
- 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in the security industry required.
- Strong scheduling, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively train and mentor security personnel.
- Ability to handle multiple staffing and operational priorities.
- Professional demeanor and strong problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs when necessary.
