Responsibilities:
SANCORP is seeking a Personnel Security Analyst to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Office of Security Policy and Management (CG-SPM) security program activities. The following are examples of responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth analysis and evaluation of security files, background investigation packages, and source documents to assess loyalty, trustworthiness, character traits, and conduct.
- Process personnel vetting (PV) documents for background investigations, adjudications, continuous vetting (CV) alerts, and suitability/fitness decisions.
- Conduct specialized adjudicative reviews by weighing an individual's whole character and history to evaluate risk to Federal service and national security.
- Prepare comprehensive written reports, adjudicative worksheets, and signed recommendation sheets detailing issue analysis and providing supporting rationale to grant, deny, or revoke security clearances or suitability determinations.
- Input mandatory metrics and update security systems of record to advance cases to "Ready for Deciding Official (DO)" review.
- Utilize federal automated personnel vetting systems, including e-QIP, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), DCSA Central Verification System (CVS) / Personnel Investigations Processing System (PIPS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and DHS Integrated Security Management System (ISMS).
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, HR officials, security partners, and investigation subjects regarding sensitive vetting issues.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, DOD365) to develop PV materials, briefing slides, reports, and process guides.
