This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on shaping and executing placement strategies that support organizational growth and client success.
You will lead market strategy across carriers, wholesalers, MGAs, and underwriting partners while identifying new opportunities and improving market access.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on guidance for complex and difficult-to-place risks.
You will serve as a trusted partner to producers, sales leaders, executives, and placement professionals to deliver optimal coverage solutions.
A key part of the position is developing high-performing teams, strengthening strategic carrier relationships, and improving placement efficiency.
You will also use performance data and market intelligence to guide executive decisions around growth, profitability, retention, and operational effectiveness.

- Develop and execute comprehensive placement strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives, incentives, and client needs.
- Evaluate market conditions, carrier appetites, emerging insurance products, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and strengthen market access.
- Lead initiatives focused on carrier diversification, placement efficiency, retention, profitability, and overall client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with insurance carriers, wholesalers, MGAs, and underwriting partners, serving as a senior representative in key meetings and planning sessions.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex placement challenges, difficult-to-place risks, and market-related issues, recommending effective strategies and solutions.
- Provide placement guidance and collaborate closely with executives, producers, sales leaders, line-of-business leaders, account executives, and placement specialists to secure appropriate coverage solutions.
- Support major account pursuits and key prospect presentations by providing market intelligence, product expertise, and competitive positioning.
- Ensure placements align with carrier requirements, underwriting guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Partner with leadership to identify revenue-growth opportunities, strengthen client offerings, and improve the overall placement strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop placement professionals and market specialists while fostering accountability, collaboration, succession planning, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor placement success ratios, carrier performance, retention, engagement, revenue, profitability, turnaround times, and other key performance indicators.
- Produce executive-level reporting and actionable recommendations, using data to identify operational improvements and strategic growth opportunities.
- Monitor carrier concentration and market utilization to maintain balanced, productive, and sustainable market relationships.
- 10+ years of experience in Florida marketing leadership and 10+ years of experience within the insurance industry.
- Active 2-20 insurance license required.
- College degree preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of insurance placement, carrier markets, underwriting considerations, and client solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex or difficult-to-place risks and develop effective market strategies.
- Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing placement or market-facing teams.
- Strong understanding of placement metrics, carrier performance, profitability, retention, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence executives, clients, carriers, producers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, motivational, and negotiation skills.
- High energy, enthusiasm, adaptability, and a service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, self-direct priorities, manage multiple initiatives, and operate effectively in a changing environment.
