This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Sales - Southwest based in United States.
This is a senior sales leadership opportunity focused on building and scaling an enterprise software business across the Southwest region.
You will lead a high-performing team of enterprise sales professionals and own a significant regional revenue target of approximately $8–12M annually once established.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in complex, enterprise-wide SaaS opportunities.
You will coach and develop sales talent, strengthen pipeline discipline, and create a culture centered on accountability, learning, and exceptional customer relationships.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategy, customer needs, and broader business objectives.

- Build, lead, and scale the Southwest sales territory, with responsibility for achieving an established annual revenue target of approximately $8–12M.
- Lead, inspire, coach, and develop a team of enterprise sales representatives, helping high-potential talent grow into top-performing members of the sales organization.
- Set clear performance expectations, regularly assess results, provide actionable feedback, and create development plans that strengthen individual and team capabilities.
- Remain actively involved in strategic customer engagements and complex enterprise deals, providing hands-on support when needed and leading by example.
- Drive disciplined opportunity management using methodologies such as MEDDPICC and Force Management to improve qualification, forecasting, deal strategy, and execution.
- Establish a culture in which sales representatives continuously re-evaluate opportunities, challenge assumptions, communicate effectively, and maintain strong commercial discipline.
- Monitor sales activity, pipeline, leads, bookings, contracts, billing, and other business data to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with broader corporate objectives, policies, and revenue goals.
- Build strong partnerships with solutions consulting, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to maximize sales effectiveness and customer value.
- Develop strategic relationships with enterprise customers, prospects, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to expand the regional business.
- Represent the organization at relevant industry events, customer meetings, networking opportunities, and other external engagements.
- Encourage creative approaches to prospect engagement, relationship development, and territory expansion.
- Travel as needed to support customers, prospects, team members, and industry activities.
- Maintain a fast-paced, high-accountability operating rhythm while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- 7–15 years of enterprise software sales experience, with extensive experience navigating complex, enterprise-wide SaaS sales cycles.
- At least 5 years of experience leading a sales team of five or more representatives and consistently delivering against regional or territory revenue targets.
- Demonstrated success building high-performing sales organizations and developing individual contributors into top-tier performers.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets through enterprise sales, strategic account development, and effective territory management.
- Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS sales methodologies and experience using structured frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Force Management.
- Proven ability to lead complex strategic deals, engage senior decision-makers, and build trusted relationships with large enterprise customers.
- Strong commercial judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate pipeline, performance, forecasts, and sales activity data to drive decisions.
- Exceptional coaching and people-development skills, with a genuine commitment to helping others grow and succeed.

- Strong understanding of customer experience, digital transformation, social media, or related enterprise technology trends.

- Candidates must be located in Arizona, Colorado, or Utah for this role.
- $161,000–$269,000 base salary range, depending on experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location.
- Eligibility for additional compensation through a discretionary bonus plan, commission plan, and/or equity plan, depending on the role and applicable compensation structure.
