This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr NWEA Account Executive based in United States.
This role is responsible for driving new customer acquisition across Charter, Private, and Parochial education markets within an assigned Western US territory. You will develop strategic relationships with school networks, dioceses, charter management organizations, and other education partners while building a strong and sustainable sales pipeline. The position combines consultative selling, territory strategy, prospect development, complex negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with Marketing, Partner Support, Professional Learning, Proposals, and Account Management teams to deliver solutions that address evolving education needs. Success requires a strong understanding of the K–12 market, customer priorities, funding environments, and competitive landscape. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced education sales professional who can independently own a territory while influencing long-term growth and customer outcomes.
- Drive revenue growth by acquiring new partners across Charter, Private, and Parochial education markets within the assigned territory.
- Develop, qualify, nurture, and convert leads into sales opportunities and closed business through proactive prospecting and consultative selling.
- Sell a portfolio of education products and services, including assessment, literacy, professional development, and other integrated solutions.
- Collaborate across business divisions to identify and close opportunities involving products and services beyond the core portfolio.
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan based on market opportunities, funding availability, state initiatives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with large charter management organizations, dioceses, private school networks, and schools of varying sizes.
- Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, from initial discovery through negotiation, contracting, and close.
- Act as a knowledgeable liaison between education partners and internal teams, ensuring customer needs and market feedback inform product strategy, development, timelines, and delivery.
- Advocate for partners while balancing customer priorities with organizational mission, objectives, and commercial goals.
- Maintain strong knowledge of K–12 education trends, assessment practices, relevant regulations, competitive dynamics, and product capabilities.
- Use Salesforce to manage prospect activity, opportunities, pipeline data, forecasts, reports, and regional dashboards, ensuring information remains accurate and current.
- Prepare and present pricing, credit terms, quotes, orders, and contractual information in accordance with established procedures and requirements.
- Mentor and coach fellow Account Executives when assigned, sharing sales expertise and best practices.
- Participate in industry and customer activities requiring approximately 25% travel.
- Contribute to additional initiatives and responsibilities that support the success of the broader sales organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of field sales experience preferred, particularly selling into the K–12 education market.
- Demonstrated success generating qualified opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, negotiating effectively, and consistently exceeding individual and team revenue targets.
- Experience acquiring, developing, and growing mid-sized and strategic accounts.
- Strong understanding of the K–12 education industry, including school operations, assessment methods, market trends, funding environments, and the needs of education leaders.
- Ability to translate complex customer requirements into appropriate business solutions and make sound commercial and relationship decisions.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic territory plans and prioritize sales activity based on market opportunity.
- Strong consultative selling and sales methodology skills, with experience using structured approaches such as Miller Heiman or Strategic Selling.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, particularly when engaging senior school and district leaders.
- Strong organizational and pipeline-management skills, with experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, product, professional learning, partner support, proposals, account management, and other cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and operate effectively across a geographically distributed organization.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex partner needs, opportunities, deliverables, agreements, and contracts.
- Commitment to supporting education-focused missions and building trusted, long-term customer relationships.
- Existing relationships or a professional network within the educator community are a plus.
- Experience with the relevant product portfolio, services, implementation processes, and procedures is preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% as required.
- Annual base salary of approximately $100,000–$115,000, plus commissions.
- Remote work arrangement within the United States.
- Territory covering Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
