Talent Acquisition Specialist - Hybrid Remote

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources & HR Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist acts as the primary communication link between White Plains Hospital and potential job candidates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full cycle employment/recruitment functions utilizing WPH processes, tools, programs, and metrics that meet hospital-wide and departmental goals and objectives across defined service line areas. Is key to the organization's success by recruiting candidates that are the right fit for both WPH and the position. Acts as a primary resource to candidates, employees, and managers while maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent customer service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:

  1. Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
  2. Responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection of applicants (internal and external) to fill job openings.
  3. Ensures that work experience, education, credentials, and licensure meet the requirements for the position.
  4. Serves as a front-line resource in assisting applicants, employees, and management with staffing and recruitment inquiries.
  5. Demonstrates working knowledge of departmental budgets and position control.
  6. Ensures that confidentiality is maintained in handling all aspects of the position.
  7. Works directly with client leadership to develop and implement cost effective recruitment strategies for entry and mid-level jobs to ensure WPH attracts and retains a qualified workforce and right fit talent.
  8. Demonstrates a working knowledge of staffing budgets and updates position control accordingly.
  9. Ensures compliance with state and federal laws regarding EEOC, hiring practices, benefits and other employee relations legislation.
  10. Acts as initial point-of-contact for leaders and staff regarding employee/labor relation issues and may include initiating an investigation and providing education around process and policy.
  11. Practices superior customer service and ensures customer needs are met in a timely manner.
  12. Represents the Hospital in the local community.
  13. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree Required. Degree in Human Resources preferred.
  2. 2 years of recruitment experience strongly preferred.
  3. Knowledgeable of applicant tracking software required
  4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
  5. Competence in navigating the internet and other programs applicable to White Plains Hospital procedures.
  6. Ability to work with HRIS and other HR Systems, windows environment, retrieving information, compiling reports and spreadsheets.
  7. Performs automated functions that fall within areas of job responsibility

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment

  • May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital’s SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital’s Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.
  • Responsibilities require Recruiter to work independently with minimal supervision in an office setting.
  • Frequent travel to and from hospital to offsite locations.
  • Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods.
  • Constantly utilizes/operates computer to access information.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously.

Salary Range: $53,840.67-$80,782.07 (Based on FT employment)
