The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead and coordinate international project activities across multiple regions and stakeholders. This role will be responsible for driving global project coordination, supporting regional commercial teams, and leading strategic project pursuit activities involving EPCs, end users, contractors, distributors, and international partners. The successful candidate must possess strong commercial leadership skills, deep project pursuit experience, and the ability to coordinate complex international opportunities across multiple regions and business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

International Project Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate international project activities across global regions.
  • Support project pursuit strategies from early specification phases through final project award.
  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), EPCs, distributors, and end users.
  • Ensure alignment between regions regarding strategy, pricing, customer engagement, forecasting, and project execution.

EPC & Strategic Project Development

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, consultants, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Pursue large and complex industrial projects with high commercial and technical requirements.
  • Identify new project opportunities and support strategic market development initiatives globally.
  • Coordinate project intelligence, stakeholder mapping, competitive positioning, and commercial strategy. Leadership & Team Coordination
  • Lead and coordinate internal commercial activities related to international projects.
  • Support and mentor members of the sales organization involved in global project execution.
  • Promote strong commercial discipline, CRM management, forecasting accuracy, and communication cadence across regions.

Commercial & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Support pricing governance, commercial strategy, and project execution alignment.
  • Maintain visibility of project pipeline, risks, opportunities, and regional coordination needs.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, Commercial Management, Business, or related technical field; Associate Degree with significant industry experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial sales, business development, project pursuit, or international commercial leadership.
  • Strong experience working with EPC companies and complex industrial projects.
  • Proven ability to pursue and coordinate large-scale projects with high levels of complexity and strategic importance.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple regions and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Fire & Gas Detection, Industrial Safety Systems, Automation, or Instrumentation.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, FPSO, Marine, or Energy industries.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar commercial platforms.
  • Multilingual communication skills are considered a plus.
