ADMINISTRATOR-NURSING HOME at Westchester Medical Center – Valhalla, New York

Functions as the Nursing Home Administrator and participates in the planning, coordination and implementation of all day to day operations for the nursing home. Serves as Licensed New York State Nursing Home Administrator of hospital-based SNF. This position assists in the management and coordination of all nursing home activities including strategic planning and budgetary planning, policy development and Medical Staff activities. Provides guidance in regulatory compliance and represents the nursing home in public and external affairs. Serves as a member of various nursing home, Board and Medical Staff committees and participates in various local and regional community relations activities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Margaretville Hospital.

Education:

• • MBA or MS Hospital Administration required.

Experience:

• • At least 7-10 years experience in administration in a long term care setting preferred (hospital experience considered); evidence of career advancement and progressive increase in responsibilities within the health care environment.

Training/License:

• • New York State Nursing Home Administrator License
