Our MSP team specializes in providing IT Services, IT Support on premise or remote, COLO support, IT consulting, Cloud hosting, and cloud services. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to support our San Jose and Bay Area customers. This role requires on-site work at client locations approximately 70–80% of the time.

The Position:
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day technology infrastructure at client sites and via remote support to support a wide array of customers and their operational and technology needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day support of client networks, servers, storage, and overall infrastructure.
• Maintain our clients' IT infrastructure both remotely and at customer site(s) when needed.
• Help architect and implement a wide range of IT projects, such as high-availability, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Be the escalation path for issues that desktop engineers or helpdesk staff are not able to resolve.
• Work closely with Managers, Service Coordinators, and other Engineers to meet customer service-level commitments, and provide world-class customer service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues, remote or on premise as needed.
• Positively and professionally represent the face of the company with our clients.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Experience administering, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Windows-based networks and servers.
• Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365 administration, and Windows security.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, and wireless access points (Cisco Meraki, Dell SonicWALL).
• Hands-on experience with virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Hands-on experience with physical servers (HP, Dell).
• Hands-on experience with on-premises and cloud-based backup solutions (Axcient, Barracuda, Datto).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based email systems (Microsoft 365, Intermedia).
• Hands-on experience with email security solutions (Proofpoint, Barracuda).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-managed EDR and XDR solutions (SentinelOne, Trend Micro).
• Hands-on experience with ticketing systems and RMM tools (ConnectWise, Barracuda).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• CCNA or equivalent networking experience preferred.
• MCSE or equivalent server administration experience preferred.
• Technical certifications are a definite plus.

Experience:

• A.S. or B.S. in information systems or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience working in information technology is required.
