Located inGreater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college,offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses inWellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Facultymembers are responsible for developing educational and evaluation materialsconsistent with the philosophy and framework of the program.
MassachusettsBay Community College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position inComputer Science from qualified applicants. Responsibilities will includedeveloping and teaching courses in areas of computer science. They will alsodemonstrate an ability to engage, mentor, and work with diverse studentpopulations. They will be comfortable offering hands-on laboratory courses byimplementing active learning strategies using current computer technologies,software, and tools. The candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment toexcellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professionaldevelopment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare syllabi and develop curricula to address course/program requirements, and student learning outcomes to meet graduation competencies as appropriate;
- Engage in professional development activities to maintain excellence in teaching and learning;
- Submit midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, early alerts, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by required due dates;
- Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Dean consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement;

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
- Candidate must have 18 graduate semester hours in computer science.
- Experience or training in computer programming including languages such as Java, Python, Java Script, HTML, Robot C, and Visual C++.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A PhD in Computer Science or related field;
- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;
- Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need;
- Teaching experience in beginning and intermediate level computer networking;
- Experience teaching online courses using tools like Cisco WebEx, ZOOM, Google Classroom, etc.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $1,397 - $1,585 per credit
