Workforce Development & Shareholder Development Manager

Location: Anchorage, Alaska (with travel to project site and regional communities)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About Donlin Gold

Donlin Gold is advancing one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold deposits, located in Alaska’s Yukon-Kuskokwim region. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Workforce Development & Shareholder Development Manager to lead workforce initiatives that support project development, construction, and future operations.

This role is responsible for designing and executing workforce development, shareholder employment, and training strategies that build a strong, sustainable talent pipeline. The position works closely with Alaska Native partners, community stakeholders, and internal teams to expand employment opportunities, strengthen workforce readiness, and support long-term career development.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead development and execution of workforce and shareholder development strategies aligned with project milestones
  • Forecast workforce needs and establish training and career pathway programs to support future operations
  • Oversee apprenticeship, internship, trainee, and workforce readiness programs
  • Partner with internal teams to align workforce planning with construction, operations, and project needs
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Alaska Native Corporations, village corporations, and workforce partners
  • Support shareholder employment initiatives, including outreach, hiring, retention, and advancement efforts
  • Build relationships with educational institutions, training providers, and workforce development organizations
  • Track and report workforce metrics, including hiring, participation, and program effectiveness
  • Develop and manage program budgets, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Represent Donlin Gold at community meetings, career events, and workforce development forums

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Workforce Development, Education, or related field
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in workforce development, training, human resources, or related field
  • Leadership experience managing workforce programs, training initiatives, or talent development efforts
  • Strong strategic planning, program management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Alaska Native Corporations, Tribal organizations, or rural workforce development programs
  • Experience supporting large-scale mining, construction, energy, or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with apprenticeship programs, workforce funding sources, and training systems
  • Master’s degree in a related field
