This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a District Vice President – GWS based in Canada.
This senior leadership role is focused on driving strategic growth across mass-market distribution channels within the investment sales landscape.
You will be responsible for expanding market presence by building strong relationships with financial advisors and accelerating the adoption of investment solutions.
The position plays a key role in shaping sales strategy, influencing advisor engagement, and supporting revenue growth across a large regional territory.
You will act as both a strategic advisor and field leader, delivering insights, education, and tailored investment solutions to support advisor success.
The role requires strong collaboration with internal wholesaling teams and cross-functional partners to execute integrated sales initiatives.
It is a high-impact, performance-driven environment where relationship-building, market expertise, and commercial execution are critical to success.
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to grow investment product adoption across mass-market financial advisor channels.
- Achieve ambitious sales targets and annual production objectives within the assigned territory.
- Identify, engage, and develop new relationships within the financial advisor ecosystem while strengthening existing partnerships.
- Deliver product insights, market intelligence, and solution-based selling approaches to support advisor business growth.
- Conduct advisor seminars, webinars, and educational events, including occasional evening and weekend engagements.
- Collaborate closely with internal wholesalers and territory coordinators to drive coordinated sales execution.
- Maintain consistent advisor engagement through virtual and in-person meetings, ensuring accurate activity tracking in CRM systems.
- Share best practices, sales strategies, and business development ideas with peers and internal partners.
- Build strong relationships across internal business units and field teams to support integrated client solutions.
- Represent investment solutions at industry events and contribute to broader market visibility and penetration.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in investment sales or financial services with strong exposure to capital markets.
- Proven experience distributing investment products through MFDA, IIROC, or similar regulated channels.
- Strong knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed account (SMA) platforms.
- Completion of IFIC Mutual Funds Course or Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing territory performance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Highly organized with strong planning, time management, and prioritization capabilities.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively in developing sales and business growth initiatives.
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based, client-facing role with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and general sales technology tools.
- Strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
