Barista/Front of house team member in Alexandria Sat-Mon in Alexandria, New South Wales at Wholegreen Bakery

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Barista / Front of House Team Member to join our busy gluten-free bakery in Alexandria.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating great customer experiences, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent coffee and service. We are seeking a team member who is available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays on a regular basis.

About the Role

As a Barista and Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of our bakery, welcoming customers, preparing quality coffee, serving our gluten-free products, and ensuring our store is clean, well-presented, and operating smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages

• Provide friendly, professional customer service

• Take customer orders and process payments accurately

• Assist customers with product information and dietary enquiries

• Display and replenish bakery products throughout the day

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café and service areas

• Assist with opening and closing duties

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen management procedures

• Work collaboratively with the bakery and front-of-house teams

What We're Looking For

• Previous barista experience with the ability to produce consistent coffee

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• A positive attitude and team-focused approach

• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented

• Experience in a café, bakery, or hospitality environment preferred - you will be working alone on Mondays

• Interest in specialty coffee and gluten-free products is highly regarded

Availability Required

Must be available to work:

• Saturday

  (working with Manager)

• Sunday (working with team member)

• Monday (working alone)

Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required is an advantage.

Pay Rates

• Monday (Weekday Rate): $33.19 per hour

• Saturday & Sunday (Weekend Rate): $39.83 per hour

Plus superannuation and applicable entitlements.
