Job Summary:
The Director of Business Operations serves as a strategic business leader for Pine Grove Behavioral Health, partnering with leadership to optimize operational performance, financial sustainability, patient access, and business growth across all service lines. The Director provides leadership in business analytics, revenue cycle performance, patient access, financial reporting, operational improvement, and technology optimization to support organizational goals.
Working collaboratively with the Vice President, Administrator, Pine Grove Leadership, and Forrest Health departments, the Director analyzes financial, operational, and market data to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies that enhance efficiency, improve patient experience, and strengthen the long-term financial performance of the organization.
The Director serves as Pine Grove's operational liaison for EPIC ensuring technology solutions support organizational objectives while promoting efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making. This position plays a key role in strategic planning, business development initiatives, budgeting, and capital planning efforts throughout Pine Grove.
- Monitors production, reimbursement, payer mix, denials, referrals trends, capacity, and service line performance.
- Develops meaningful dashboards and performance metrics that support executive decision-making.
- Identifies financial trends and recommends operational improvements to maximize revenue integrity and reimbursement.
- Provides oversight and supervision for patient registration, insurance verification, prior authorization, financial counseling, and collection processes.
- Works collaboratively with operational leaders to improve scheduling efficiency and patient throughput.
- Liaison to Forrest General Hospital for:
- EPIC
- Revenue Cycle
- Information Services/Technology
- Serves in administrator on call rotation at Pine Grove.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
A Bachelor's Degree in business or healthcare-related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience in business or healthcare-related field required; minimum of three years of progressive management experience in hospital or health-related administration required.
Mental Demands:
The ability to communicate with numerous managers, hospital personnel, patients, and other third parties.
