Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist I

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist I based in United States.

The Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, from attracting candidates to coordinating onboarding and development initiatives.
This position combines recruiting operations, candidate experience, HR administration, and learning support within a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.
The role will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient talent processes.
The successful candidate will help build strong candidate relationships while maintaining accurate systems, data, and documentation.

Accountabilities:

The Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist will support recruiting operations, employee development initiatives, and HR processes by ensuring a seamless experience for candidates, employees, and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate interview scheduling across multiple time zones, managing calendars, availability, meeting logistics, and candidate communications.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a professional, responsive, and inclusive experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Support recruiting activities including candidate sourcing, outreach, job posting updates, applicant tracking, and initial screening conversations.
  • Assist recruiters and hiring managers with requisition management, intake meetings, interview coordination, and hiring workflows.
  • Support onboarding activities including offer preparation, background check coordination, equipment logistics, orientation scheduling, and new hire follow-ups.
  • Coordinate learning and development programs by managing training schedules, materials, enrollment records, attendance tracking, and program logistics.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking system records, job postings, and recruitment documentation while supporting reporting activities.
  • Compile and analyze talent metrics such as time-to-fill, interview volume, scheduling efficiency, and training completion rates.
  • Help improve recruiting, onboarding, learning, and performance management processes through data-driven recommendations.
  • Handle confidential employee and candidate information with professionalism and discretion while supporting compliant hiring practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring experience in recruiting coordination, HR operations, or talent management support, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Required and preferred qualifications include:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR administration, scheduling, or talent operations within a corporate or agency environment.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent interviews, meetings, or complex scheduling activities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • Understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging principles within hiring practices.
  • Experience with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, or passive candidate outreach is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to renewable energy, engineering, technical recruiting, learning management systems, or performance management tools is a plus.
  • HR certifications or coursework such as aPHR, SHRM-CP, or PHR are advantageous.
