Compensation Analyst II

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Compensation Analyst II based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to support the development and execution of compensation strategies that promote fair, competitive, and compliant pay practices across a growing organization. As a Compensation Analyst II, you will contribute to market analysis, job evaluations, reporting, and compensation program administration while partnering with key stakeholders across HR, Finance, and business teams. You will play an important role in ensuring data-driven compensation decisions that support employee engagement and organizational success. The position combines analytical expertise, project ownership, and collaboration in a remote-friendly environment. Ideal candidates will bring strong attention to detail, a passion for compensation excellence, and the ability to translate data into meaningful recommendations.

Accountabilities
  • Conduct compensation market analyses using established survey methodologies to evaluate competitiveness and support informed pay recommendations.
  • Perform job evaluations and apply compensation frameworks to ensure appropriate job leveling, internal alignment, and pay consistency.
  • Prepare compensation analyses for employee lifecycle events, including new hires, promotions, transfers, and market adjustments.
  • Support recurring compensation processes such as merit planning, incentive programs, salary structure maintenance, and annual compensation reviews.
  • Analyze and validate compensation data to identify trends, support pay equity initiatives, and develop actionable insights.
  • Create and maintain compensation reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, and data models to support business decisions.
  • Respond to compensation-related questions from HR partners, recruiters, managers, and business leaders regarding policies, market data, and compensation practices.
  • Maintain accurate compensation data within HR systems and tools while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Assist with compensation audits, compliance reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and operational teams to ensure effective execution of compensation programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, human resources, finance, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing, job evaluation methodologies, salary administration, and pay practices.
  • Experience using HR systems such as Workday, advanced Microsoft Excel, compensation survey platforms, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop clear recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain compensation concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee and compensation information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Experience with compensation certifications, such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or progress toward certification is preferred.
