This is a strategic, cross-functional role focused on expanding market access, improving reimbursement, and accelerating commercial growth for medical device portfolios.
You will develop and execute U.S. market access strategies across commercial and government payer environments.
The role combines payer engagement, health economics, reimbursement strategy, evidence development, and commercial planning.
You will translate clinical and economic value into compelling tools and value propositions for payers, providers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical, and business teams, you will help identify access barriers and turn market insights into actionable strategies.
The position offers meaningful influence across product development, launches, lifecycle management, and long-term portfolio growth.

- Develop and execute U.S. market access and reimbursement strategies designed to improve coverage, patient access, market penetration, and commercial performance.
- Analyze covered lives and market dynamics to identify opportunities for growth and prioritize strategic access initiatives.
- Develop and oversee payer, provider, and sales enablement tools that communicate the clinical, economic, and healthcare value of medical device products and services.
- Identify evidence gaps and market access requirements, collaborating with internal teams on value propositions, outcomes evidence, and reimbursement strategies.
- Lead payer engagement strategies and tactical plans, including materials, messaging, access tools, and resources supporting strategic coverage objectives.
- Monitor commercial payer, Medicare, Medicaid, and broader healthcare policy developments to anticipate changes that may affect product coverage and reimbursement.
- Build productive relationships with strategic payers, hospitals, provider organizations, trade associations, and other healthcare stakeholders to support mutual understanding and market access objectives.
- Partner with health economics and outcomes research colleagues and other functional teams to determine coverage needs and develop appropriate initiatives.
- Educate internal stakeholders on market access principles and the role of reimbursement, health economics, and value propositions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support strategic initiatives across tracheostomy, indirect sales channels, and group purchasing organizations, using market insights to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Track healthcare economic trends, health technology assessment developments, and reimbursement dynamics, assessing their potential impact on the business.
- Ensure all activities are conducted according to applicable laws, regulations, healthcare industry standards, and professional ethics.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, health economics, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, pharmaceuticals, managed care, or a closely related healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of market access, reimbursement, health economics, and healthcare coverage principles.
- Demonstrated experience advocating for medical policy coverage with commercial health plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid programs, and/or provider organizations.
- Strong understanding of coverage, coding, and payment structures for medical devices and associated services across healthcare settings.
- Experience developing and executing strategies, tools, and value propositions that communicate the clinical and economic benefits of healthcare products or therapies.
- Strong business acumen and experience collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Medical Science Liaisons, Clinical Program Managers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Experience engaging with payers, hospitals, professional and medical organizations, trade associations, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Knowledge of clinical and economic modeling in healthcare; familiarity with Health Technology Assessment is preferred.
- Experience with patient-focused medical device organizations and an understanding of HCP and patient community engagement is preferred.
- An advanced degree such as an MBA, MPH, or PhD is preferred.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex healthcare, economic, and reimbursement concepts into clear recommendations and actionable business strategies.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 30%.
