Working closely with the Director of Business Development and cross-functional leaders, the role independently owns assigned initiatives, professionally represents Control Tech with clients and Indigenous partners, and moves projects from concept through execution.Duties & Responsibilities:Business Development Support & Document Control

Working closely with the Director of Business Development and cross-functional leaders, the role independently owns assigned initiatives, professionally represents Control Tech with clients and Indigenous partners, and moves projects from concept through execution.Duties & Responsibilities:Business Development Support & Document Control
- Support North American business development initiatives and priorities in coordination with the Director of Business Development.Maintain and organize client information, presentations, capability packages, qualification materials and other business development documentation.Coordinate updates to project experience, resumes, safety statistics, Indigenous-engagement information and other commonly requested client documentation.Support RFQs, RFPs, client presentations, prequalification packages and other business development submissions.Maintain organized records of client meetings, opportunities, action items and follow-up requirements.Support CRM accuracy, opportunity tracking and standardized business development reporting.Coordinate information among Business Development, Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Finance and other internal departments.Develop and maintain standardized business development templates, processes and document-control practices.
- Support and execute Control Tech’s Indigenous-engagement strategy in collaboration with the Director of Business Development and leadership.Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, economic development organizations and partners.Serve as a day-to-day contact for designated Indigenous partnerships and independently manage routine engagement.Coordinate community meetings, visits, events and partnership activities.Support the development and execution of Indigenous Participation Plans and related commitments.Track Indigenous employment, procurement, community investment, training and partnership commitments, and coordinate related internal and client reporting.Identify opportunities for community participation, employment, training, procurement and business partnerships.Represent Control Tech at Indigenous business events, conferences, community events and industry functions.Work with Operations and Human Resources to communicate partnership commitments internally and support appropriate execution.Develop Indigenous-relations content for proposals, presentations, client reporting and approved communications.
Marketing & Communications Canada (Supporting Marketing Strategist – North America)
General- Work closely with the North American Marketing Strategist to support broader marketing initiatives, priorities and projects, providing coordination and assistance as needed, on projects such as:Working with Marketing Strategist and operational teams to gather information on projects, milestones, and success stories for potential external communication.Assist with coordinating photography, graphics, project profiles, employee features, and other marketing assets.Follow established company branding, messaging, tone and visual standards across marketing materials and communications.Support the approval, scheduling, publication and distribution processes of approved marketing campaigns and content.Assist with tracking engagement and identifying opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Plan and coordinate client events, industry events, conferences, sponsorships, golf tournaments, community events and internal business development functions.
- Develop annual and quarterly event calendars aligned with commercial priorities.
- Coordinate venues, invitations, registrations, sponsorship materials, signage, promotional items, travel and event logistics.
- Manage event budgets and track associated costs.
- Coordinate client invitation lists with Business Development and Operations.
- Attend events as required and support on-site execution.
- Manage post-event follow-up, including engagement tracking, photos, social content and internal reporting.
- Evaluate events and sponsorship opportunities based on alignment with Control Tech’s business development objectives.
- Comply with company safety programs, policies and procedures.Perform other related duties and support special projects as required.
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, Indigenous relations, public relations or a related field is required.Approximately three to five years of experience in business development coordination, Indigenous relations, marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, event management or a related field.Strong writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.Demonstrated ability to build relationships, create polished written and visual content, and manage initiatives from concept through completion.Strong organization, project coordination and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel; experience with social media, CRM, content-management and design platforms is an asset.Experience in oil and gas, energy, construction, industrial services or a related industry is an asset.Experience working directly with Indigenous communities, organizations or businesses is strongly preferred.Experience supporting proposals, RFQs/RFPs, capability packages, corporate events or client engagement is an asset.Professional judgment and discretion when working with employees, clients, Indigenous partners, community representatives and senior leaders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional North American environment.Willingness and ability to travel periodically within Canada and, where required, North America.
