About the role:

The Skilled General Laborer assists in communicating deliveries with incoming and outgoing drivers, entering data and tracking inventory withing the warehouse. They report to and receive their day-to-day instruction from the Warehouse Supervisor.

Roles/Tasks of the Position:

  • Follow instructions from supervisors to tasks (e.g., counting inventory, communicating with drivers, checking in trucks, etc.).
  • Reports issues in a timely manner.
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment by keeping workstations/equipment neat and organized.
  • Work in a team environment to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle and transport materials and equipment.
  • Utilizing computer programs such as Microsoft as well as inventory programs to accurately input data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Good organizational skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer literate and competent using technological devices.
  • Self-starter with willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities or medical restrictions to perform the essential functions.

  • Working in hot, humid environments.
  • Lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing (stairs and structures), and stooping.
  • Keyboarding/typing.
  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or paper copy.
  • Ability to manage a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Prerequisites/Requirements:

  • Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
  • Valid Driver's License and Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Background check
